A message from the management of Mitsubishi Motors : April 2005 marked a clean break from the corporate culture and the ways of the past, and a fresh beginning for the management and employees of Mitsubishi Motors as we set out to create a new future for our company. We are now channeling our resources and energies into restoring our corporate vitality and regaining the trust and confidence of the public. To guide our endeavors, we unveiled a new corporate philosophy on January 28, 2005, the same day as we announced the Mitsubishi Motors Revitalization Plan. Our new corporate philosophy is the product of extensive internal discussions, which were conducted in conjunction with the formulation of the Mitsubishi Motors Revitalization Plan. Our new philosophy, which will underpin all of our corporate activities, not only states the purpose of the company's existence, but also provides a clearer roadmap for the future direction of our company. Our new philosophy is encapsulated in the following motto: "We are committed to providing the utmost driving pleasure and safety for our valued customers and our community. April 2005 — Corporate Philosophy & Stance —Mitsubishi Motors has drawn up a new corporate philosophy that both states the purpose of the company's existence and provides a clearer roadmap for its future direction. Adhering to "The Three Principles* " of the Mitsubishi group of companies, the new philosophy will serve as a touchstone for all activities conducted under the Mitsubishi Motors name. The central concepts of this philosophy are as follows: • Customer-centric approachMitsubishi Motors will give the highest priority to earning the satisfaction of its customers, and by doing so, become a company that enjoys the trust and confidence of community at large.
